1.1 Who are the Galaxians?
The unofficial supporter's group for the Los Angeles Galaxy. The GALAXIANS are an independent, multicultural organization of soccer lovers dedicated to the success of the Los Angeles Galaxy. Our goal is to energize the crowd by making noise, banging drums, singing songs, waving flags, and anything else we can think of to create an exciting atmosphere in the Rose Bowl. We will not tolerate hooligan, racist, or violent behavior. On game day we will congregate in the parking lot before the game, sit together in our own section, and wear our GALAXIAN t-shirts for solidarity.

2.0 GAME TIME!
2.1 Do you meet before the games?
We sure do. Look for us in Area H of the Rose Bowl parking lot (in between Arroyo Blvd. & Seco St.). Look for us in the Soccer Celebration area. We're in the official Galaxy tent. If there is no Soccer Celebration, we'll probably be in a blue tent in Area H, near the main entrance to the stadium. Here's a map.
Come early and kick a ball around, toss a frisbee, BBQ. We have fun :-)
2.2 Where do you sit? I don't see AREA 51 on any seating chart.
AREA 51 is our own name for our section. Wherever Galaxians congregate, that's where AREA 51 is. At the Rose Bowl we're in Section 28 (over the tunnel that the players use). These are general admission seats, so all you need is a general admission ticket and proof that you are a Galaxian (either a Galaxian shirt or Galaxian ID card, which you receive when you join us).
2.3 Why do you sit there?
We want to be in the place
- that is most affordable
- where we can make as much noise as possible without bothering other paying customers
- where hardcore soccer fans traditionally sit (or stand)
This section has been set aside for us by the Galaxy, and entrance to it is controllled by security.
Most people in this section will be standing (and jumping and yelling) during the game, but the section is big enough that there is a section where you can sit and still see the game.
2.4 Is it safe for my kids?
Most definitely. We have all kinds of kids with us. Give them a pom-pom or a noisemaker or a funny hat and they'll have a blast.
2.5 What is the deal with those hats?
We're attempting to create a fun, festive atmosphere; silly hats are just a way to help that.
2.6 Are the hats required?
No, they are not required. Some of us are just willing to look more foolish than others ;-).
Anything to help the cause.
Anything you want to do to add color and atmosphere is always welcome.
2.7 Do I have to sit in that section?
No. We realize that some prefer better seats (behind the goals isn't exactly the best view ;-).
Or you may already have season tickets somewhere else.
2.8 Can I bring a drum?
You bet. If you're sitting in our section, we encourage this. To get it into the stadium, you must enter with us. Otherwise they may not let you bring it in.
2.9 What about other musical intruments?
Bring them. Anything to make noise. Right now we're mostly drums, but we'd love to get a regular brass section going.
2.10 Where do you watch the games when the team is away?
In Los Angeles:
California Brewing Company * 100 W. Main St. *
Alhambra
C ock 'n' Bull - Santa Monica
In Orange County:
National Sports Grill - Fullerton
2.11 Do you travel to away games?
You bet. Unfortunately, only San Jose is a convenient trip. But we're always up there! We had 51 on our last trip and we only expect that number to grow (although this was enough to completely drown out the Clash supporter group, the Casbah).
2.12 Brad Friedel and expectoration? I don't get it.
One of our prouder moments. As the Columbus Crew were leaving the field (right below Area 51) after losing to the Galaxy, Brad Freidel, well, spit at us (aiming at Linda Pickle no less!). Since his expectoration skills were lacking (hard to spit when your jaw is clenched?), he only managed to hit our banner. I guess he didn't appreciate the chants of "Kasey Keller".
To his credit, he did apologize at the post-game party. He even autographed the loogie.
So whenever you hear someone suggest a spitting contest at a pre-game party, this is what is being referred to.
